I’m Xana Hermosillo, your Los Angeles Postpartum Doula.

You are here because you have a child arriving soon, or you’ve recently welcomed a newborn into your family nest. We are here for your family by providing emotional, physical, and educational support.

You don’t have to do this alone. “It takes a village”, as they say. We will care for you and your nest so you can focus on your baby. As a formally trained scientist, I will provide you with current, understandable, evidence-based research, to empower you to feel confident in providing the best care for your child.

Nido means nest in Spanish

Our name, Nurturing Nido, was inspired by a local L.A. bird, the Acorn Woodpecker.

The birds form a strong community where everyone contributes to foraging for food and caring for the young in the nest: biological parents, older siblings, and non-related adults. This leads to successful outcomes for everyone.

Birth and Postpartum Doulas lead to successful outcomes in new parent humans.
